The WCT feasibility department provides a broad range of services to our Sponsors, such as:
- Advising on country and site selection
- Assessing the likelihood of performing a particular study in a given country
- Regulatory and logistics issues
- Ethical standards; verification of possible recruitment rates
- Determining the number of sites required for a completion of a study within a designated time period
- Options for local purchase of concomitant and study drugs and other clinical materials
- And many other services that our Sponsors may require
In providing feasibility services we are aided by a comprehensive database with over a thousand medical organizations listed.
The database contains comprehensive data on thousands of investigators; the absolute majority of them we know personally and have worked with at least once over the last eighteen years. Our Sponsors also benefit from our strong association with the opinion leaders, with whom we maintain on-going relationships.
The database allows us to produce searches for any number of specifications, including:
- Indication
- Medical specialization
- Potential recruitment rates
- Facility
- Staff qualifications and experience in clinical studies
|
- Availability of internet
- Storage
- Refrigeration
- Specialized medical equipment
|
We routinely produce feasibility reports on center availability and subject/patient availability and have solid expertise on national and local regulatory requirements, treatment standards, epidemiology, medical infrastructure, logistics, and geography of clinical trials.
On average, a full feasibility study takes 10 working days, regardless of the number of sites. However, when our Sponsors require, we can produce preliminary results within 24 hours. |
