Dr. Dorigotti has nearly 15 years experience with CROs and the pharmaceutical industry, and has held various positions in the medical departments and clinical research departments of multinational companies, such as WCT, Bristol-Myers Squibb and AstraZeneca. At WCT and another large, global CRO, Dr. Dorigotti, as director of clinical projects, has been involved in several global studies in different therapeutic areas. As director clinical research at AstraZeneca, Dr. Dorigotti was involved in coordinating clinical development, pharmacovigilance and quality standards of drugs in CNS, oncology and cardiovascular in the southern European area. While serving as director of medical affairs, Dr. Dorigotti was responsible for all the therapeutic areas of AstraZeneca, strengthening relationships among pharmaceutical companies and the scientific community, which included scientific societies, general medicine, opinion leaders, and patient and citizen associations. Dr. Dorigotti obtained his degree in medicine in Milan, where he gained broad experience in the development of cardiovascular compounds (i.e., statins and antihypertensive drugs).
